Samsung Galaxy Note 8 News & Update: Curved Infinity Display & 256GB Storage!
The exploding battery of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 places heavy pressure on the upcoming Galaxy Note 8 to bring back consumer trust on the Samsung brand. To ensure that, the Seoul-based tech giant is developing a new smartphone that would feature specs said to be better than the rumored iPhone 8. Although details are not specified, rumors hint of a 4K curved infinity display and 256GB variant.
Most Important Gadget Of Samsung
Inquisitr points out that the Galaxy Note 8 would be the most important gadget of Samsung in a year since it is the company’s first flagship phablet after the Galaxy Note 7 debacle in 2016. Previously rumored to launch at the upcoming Mobile World Congress next week in Barcelona, Spain, Samsung delayed its unveiling to ensure only the best specs are inside the phablet.
Among the rumored specs of the Galaxy Note 8 are a Snapdragon 835 SoC, 6GB of RAM, dual-lens camera, big battery, iris scanner and an IP68 certification. There are further speculations the flagship phablet would feature a revamped S-Pen with speakers. Its screen, according to rumors, would be 6.2 inches, although it could be as large as 6.4 inches. It would also sport the traditional 3.5mm headphone socket.
2 Galaxy Note 8 Models
Reports suggest two Galaxy Note 8 models would be launched, both featuring dual-edged curved displays similar to the Galaxy S7 Edge. The Guardian reports the codenames of the two phablets would be Dream and Dream 2, with the former being the smaller of the two smartphones. Their screens curve down the right and left sides of the gadget.
The larger displays would be because the upcoming phablet flagship would have a bezel-less design, leaving no space to even place a Samsung logo or other brands on the phone’s front. Even the top and bottom bezels are speculated to be very small. The fingerprint scanner has been moved to the back of the Galaxy Note 8.
